The Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology (WSPP) is excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our esteemed core faculty team. We are seeking a passionate professional to serve in this role, with a start date of approximately June 1, 2025.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

1. A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology

2. Licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in Wisconsin

3. Experience in teaching, clinical practice, and research

4. Prior experience conducting psychological or neuropsychological assessments

5. The ability to speak and write clearly and concisely

6. Willingness to work with a diverse faculty and student body of varying interests and orientations

7. Ability to work with graduate students on research projects

8. Ability to promote a diverse, inclusive environment.

9. Willingness to teach at least one evening class in Spring and Fall semesters.

Preferred:

1. Graduate of an APA accredited program

2. Previous graduate teaching experience

3. Prior experience providing clinical supervision of assessment and psychotherapy

4. Ability to teach and supervise child treatment.

5. Familiarity with projective assessment instruments

6. Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities as Core Faculty:

The core faculty are responsible for teaching, supervising,and mentoring graduate students in the Practitioner-Scholar model. In addition, the core faculty are responsible for:

 

1. Teaching 3 courses per year and maintaining current and relevant subject matter expertise in the topics covered in their courses or areas of supervision

2. Providing supervision of direct clinical services in psychotherapy and assessment

3. Maintaining good working relationships with fellow faculty and administration

4. Communicating effectively with students regarding course and/or clinical expectations and performance

5. Acting as an Academic Advisor

6. Membership on departmental, comprehensive examination,and dissertation committees.

7. Attending required faculty and committee meetings

8. Preparing syllabi that follow both APA and WSPP guidelines (assistance is provided)

9. Having fundamental knowledge of effective learning strategies and methodologies

10. Help in preparing for any accreditation requirements

Commitment:

This is a 50% professional commitment to WSPP, benefits eligible.

The remainder of the faculty’s time commitment is allowed for clinical practice as we understand the importance of practice influencing education.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary and rank commensurate with experience. This is a Core Faculty position.
