Explanations:

WSPP students are granted access to the Marquette library when they stop at the visitor window and show their institutional ID and a photo ID if there is no photo on the institutional ID. They must have their institutional ID so we can verify their affiliation. While at the window, if the student knows that he/she needs computer access, we will issue a user logon and password which allows access to our online resources. This logon is good for one day and expires at midnight. A new daily logon and password is required once each day that the student enters the library.

WSPP students are also eligible for a courtesy card which allows them to have up to 10 books checked out at one time.

The loan period is 4 weeks. Books are renewable once if no other patron has placed a hold. After one renewal, the materials must be returned.

Materials are subject to recall and must be returned immediately if recalled by another user.

Getting a Courtesy Card

In order to receive the voucher for the courtesy card, the student should stop at the visitor window and show their institutional ID and a photo ID if there is no photo on the institutional ID. We will issue the voucher for the courtesy card. The courtesy card is obtained by paying the $5.00 card fee at the University Card Office in the Alumni Memorial Union (which is just across the street from the library). At that point, the student returns to the library and they then set up the circulation account which allows checkout of materials. The University Card Office is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. If you need to utilize Marquette’s library to check out materials for the first time outside those hours, please contact your librarian.
